Wonder Sound is a free browser music game. Four animated musicians play drums, bass, melody and accompaniment. Mix 40 musical styles and 63 sounds, change four-chord harmonies, and create your own song.
Tap a musician to add or mute their part. Tap the waveform for another sound, or hold it to open the sound library. Tap the note grid for a new part in the same style. Surprise creates another song.
Combine saturation, echo, spacious reverb and pumping sidechain. Temporary effects include a band-pass sweep, beat roll, vinyl slowdown and reverse. Songs follow two verses and two choruses, with fills at the ends of the second verse and chorus.
Save mixes in the game and record up to 90 seconds. Download your recording as WAV or MP3. The game records its own sound; it does not request access to your microphone.
Mouse and touch: tap the visible controls. Keyboard: Space to play or stop, 1–4 to toggle musicians, R for Surprise, M to mute and Escape to close a dialog.
This standalone version stores preferences and saved mixes in your browser. Recordings stay on your device unless you choose to share them. Hosting and any enabled Cloudflare Web Analytics operate under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The game has no account registration or chat.
Available in English, Russian and Spanish. Portrait layout on phones; desktop and tablet layouts adapt to the available window.
